Kyler在文中写道，之前之所以有米尔萨普的交易流言传出是因为老鹰希望为了留下艾尔-霍弗德而释放一些薪资空间，而霍弗德最终签约了凯尔特人。
米尔萨普3年价值5800万美元的合同将于2018年夏天到期，他拥有其合同2017-18赛季的球员选项，可以在明年夏天成为一名完全自由球员。
2015-16赛季常规赛，米尔萨普场均出战32.7分钟，可以得到17.1分9篮板3.3助攻1.8抢断1.7盖帽。
